This Memorial Day season reminds us that honoring our veterans and fallen heroes is not simply about ceremonies. It is about service, remembrance, and community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support the Blue Star Mothers in placing flags at Veterans Memorial Park. Seeing our community come together in quiet tribute to honor those who served was both moving and meaningful. A special thank you to Raymond Mejia and the Via kids for proudly representing American Legion Post 911 during this important tradition. Your willingness to show up, serve, and honor our nation’s heroes reflects the very best of our Post.

We also want to recognize the incredible volunteers who staffed the Post 911 booth at the Heroes Appreciation BBQ. Events like these create opportunities to connect with veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families while strengthening the bonds that make our community so special.
Special thanks to David, Lee, Raymond, and Lou for going above and beyond with setup and teardown. Those long hours before and after the event often go unseen, but they are essential to making these gatherings a success.
It is truly an honor to serve alongside individuals who are so deeply passionate about supporting the veteran community. Your dedication, servant leadership, and commitment to giving back embody the mission of American Legion Post 911.
We also look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow at Veterans Memorial Park at 10:00 AM as we come together to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. This meaningful Memorial Day ceremony is proudly sponsored by the Blue Star Mothers and Gold Star Mothers, whose dedication to remembrance ensures the legacy of our fallen heroes is never forgotten.

Thank you all for continuing to serve, remember, and stand together as a community.
