The Hunter-Morris Memorial Foundation is the charitable partner of American Legion Hunter-Morris Post 911. This partnership helps the Post reach more veterans, military families, young people, and others in Cedar Park. The Post continues the American Legion’s mission of supporting veterans and promoting patriotism, while the Foundation makes it possible to accept tax-deductible donations, apply for grants, and fund programs that help the community.

The Foundation is named after the Post’s namesakes and works to keep their legacy alive by supporting future generations and those who have served. Every donation helps Post 911 run its programs and outreach, making sure local veterans get the help they need and encouraging young people to become leaders and active citizens.

With help from the Foundation, Post 911 offers scholarships for students going to Boys State and Girls State, gives awards for academic achievement, supports veterans and military families in need, and runs programs that teach about America’s military history. The Foundation also helps pay for community events like patriotic ceremonies, youth leadership programs, guest speakers, memorial events, and upgrades to places that serve both veterans and the public, such as the Flag Retirement Ceremonial Site.

The Foundation and Post 911 work together with a shared goal, not separate missions. The Post brings volunteers, leadership, and ideas, while the Foundation supplies the resources to make those ideas happen. Together, they make sure every donation goes toward making a real difference in the community, honoring veterans and supporting future leaders.

Whether it’s helping a veteran, sending a student to Boys State, teaching about military history, caring for memorials, or bringing people together for service and remembrance, the Hunter-Morris Memorial Foundation and American Legion Hunter-Morris Post 911 work side by side for one purpose: to strengthen our community by honoring the past, serving today, and inspiring the future.
