Boys & Girls
State Application
The American Legion Boys State program is one of the nation's most respected educational programs for high school students, providing young men with a unique opportunity to experience democracy and government firsthand. Through an immersive, hands-on experience, participants build leadership skills, develop an understanding of civic responsibility, and learn how local and state governments operate by creating and managing their own mock government. American Legion Post 911 in Cedar Park proudly supports this longstanding tradition by helping deserving students from our community participate in Texas Boys State. The program encourages teamwork, public speaking, critical thinking, and a lifelong commitment to citizenship and service. Boys State is more than an educational experience. It is an opportunity to develop the next generation of community leaders.

At Texas Bluebonnet Girls State, high school students from across Texas come together for an extraordinary experience centered on leadership, civic engagement, and personal growth. Participants take on the responsibilities of elected officials, campaign for office, debate important issues, and collaborate with their peers to shape the future of their simulated communities. Along the way, they form lasting friendships, discover new perspectives, and gain a deeper appreciation for the power of individual participation in public life. American Legion Auxiliary Unit 911 in Cedar Park is proud to sponsor promising young women from our community, providing opportunities that inspire ambition, independence, and a dedication to service.
