The Vernon Hunter Memorial Scholarship

The Vernon Hunter Memorial Scholarship is open to all veterans, children of veterans attending LISD schools, including Charter Schools, who are pursuing post-secondary education.

The scholarship is named for Mr. Vernon Hunter, a Vietnam veteran and resident of Cedar Park who lost his life in 2010 when a plane flew into the Echelon Building in Austin, Texas. Post 911 proudly bears his name as part of the official Post name.
